Worth a small amount for a weekend project tool

I used this product to cut a 4 inch hole in my foundation for a dryer vent. I needed to raise the vent higher so I went to the top rough block. They built a house from the shell and filled the upper large one with cement. The saw cut through really well until I came across some metal rods that they had also set into the wall. At first without realizing I kept trying thinking I hit the rocks I realized it was bigger then I went outside and went inside. This blunted the saw but still worked. For…

Not suitable for hardened concrete but reasonably priced

I needed to drill through an 8" wall with a Milwaukee SDS plus. The center cap isn't very good, and the set screw fell out and disappeared almost immediately. The drill couldn't do more than scratch the surface, so I drilled 8 1/2" holes around the circle to get started and remove some material. This bit then chewed through 8 inches of concrete in about 15 minutes. A tooth is It saved me $175 in rent so it was worth it but it's not really made for concrete Should work better in cinder blocks or

works to fit a 4 inch pancake box

I wanted to install an outdoor wall light on a 1920's plastered house wall. This hole saw is 100mm long which is only 4 inches. I was concerned that the hole might not be big enough to fit a 4" pancake box, but it worked great. The shank of the hole saw is not perfectly straight, so it wobbles slightly when cutting, causing the hole to be too large. It was ideal to house the control box. I used a Bosch Bulldog impact drill and it took about 25 minutes to drill a hole through an inch of plaster.
