Do you get what you pay for?

I ordered 7 of these and they were all crumbled into pieces, defeating the purpose of using them in a suet. 3 stars because for $3 I'd put them in the bird feeder anyway.

Pros
  • Hearty mix of raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds and assorted nuts
Cons
  • Expensive

not just for woodpeckers

lots of these birds. I have had several types of feeders although I have other types of feeders such as bowls or tubes. Even a blue jay managed to climb onto a small wire fat holder. This woodpecker-like cake is eaten quicker than other cakes I've tried.

Pros
  • Measures 8.5" x 8.5" x 2.375"
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

BUY SEEDS AND SAVE MONEY. !

I ordered this with another seed cake hoping it would be whole if it was here. NO ! It came like it was a small bag of seeds. There could be a 1 inch square somewhere in the stack, but I doubt it. I think I'll find out when I put it in the loose seed feeder. The other (big one) is too big but broken enough into individual seeds, what's left fits in the tallow feeding but I'm afraid it will break so easily the cage will soon be empty. Save money and buy loose seeds.

Pros
  • SPECIALLY SELECTED SEED BLEND: Formulated with consideration for the habits of wild birds.
Cons
  • Hard to say

attracts all birds as advertised

was completely overpriced when new, but at the current price it is perfect. Have bought this product for several years now and NEVER had a problem. In fact I find it PERFECT in terms of price (for now) and appeal/containment. We have a serious problem with those nasty starlings. They swarm and devour an ordinary tallow pie in a matter of days. They don't care about THAT kind of pie, so let's get the birds (especially 3 species of woodpeckers) we want and drive away the birds we don't need.

Pros
  • BINDING PROTEIN: Holds seeds together so birds can peck at their favorites and leave the rest of the cake untouched. I'll write
