We get a wide variety of birds in this feeder. It's less messy than other feeders we've had. The seed is not always sprayed on the sides. It's great that you can remove the inserts to clean the seed coats. We are 100% satisfied!

I really like this seed catcher. It's a good size and the screens are removable for cleaning. I've even used it as a platform feeder. It's not something that wears off and I've been wearing it for 5 months now. I liked it so much that I bought a second one.

Seeds seep through the mesh and are difficult to clean without spilling seeds everywhere. It is also difficult to understand what fittings are needed for installation. I go back to my hanging platform feeder with a mesh floor. The trays here are so deep that some small birds are not visible.

This is exactly what I was looking for and it's perfect. We have a large bird feeder and the birds were constantly dropping seeds on the ground which attracted squirrels, oxen and moles. This will capture most of the seeds and the birds will use it as extra food.

I would give 5 stars but it doesn't have an easy way to attach a pole. It mentions that a 1" rod will work, but there is a 1.5" hole drilled in it! It's disappointing in the sense that when this tray arrives you'll have to craft something to attach it. This is poorly thought out on their part.
