Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Brush Roll - Genuine Replacement (1, 14.5 IN) - Models: 203-6777, 203-6619, 203-2085 Review

I had no idea the bristles on my 18 year old vacuum were so worn. I was willing to replace the entire vacuum cleaner as it wasn't working very well. After replacing this brush, the vacuum picked up so much dirt from the carpets and was so much more efficient, it was like a new car!

Perfect fit for my Lift-Off Pet Cyclone. I'm not sure why these rollers are killing vacuum cleaners, but I'm glad I found a replacement. The last video made a loud noise that got progressively worse over time. Looking at the Bissell websites and the vacuum cleaner manual, they mentioned that it is advisable to replace the roller every 6-12 months. Obviously the brush wears out and becomes less efficient. Overall a cheap replacement!

Our vacuum was no longer working efficiently and it turned out that our pet hair situation was too difficult even for this particular pet hair cleaner. Long dog hairs wrapped around the brush, melting the part of the body holding it. This new roller brush was a little tricky to install, but I sorted it out in the end and it seems to do the job. I would recommend taking it out and cleaning it frequently if you have a long haired pet.

The item I received was a wooden spool with tassels glued in. It does not look like the picture and does not look like the roller brush currently available in the store. vacuum cleaner that I wanted to replace. I received a wooden spool that looks like it was finished in a high school carpenter's shop - with brushes glued on. The packaging was simply wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a plastic mailing envelope. This is NOT a Bissell roller and the brushes aren't even long enough to work

I queued to get the one in the photo (blue plastic) and thought I read that. I have a wooden one instead. To their credit they say everything they stock, but I went to "Made by Bissell" and assumed it was a wood fake. I had to vacuum and couldn't wait any longer, so given the one month warranty I stuck with it. However, it works fine as I've only been able to use it a couple of times. But will it stop in five months, as others have warned? I'm really tired of wasting planned obsolescence…

I ordered from Crucial Vacuum first and although the brush looks the same the two edges are on either side of the area where the strap goes raised, which is why it didn't fit in a vacuum. It was black plastic and the brush pattern is the same but the edges of the belt are not the same as the photo. If it was like the picture it would fit. This is not an OEM part. It's not authentic. It's made out of wood, not plastic, and doesn't have a contoured design that seems to make it easier to pick up dirt from your floor.
