So far it works great and fits all brands of batteries of the same type.

First of all I really like the dual charger. Only beats single chargers. But the best part is that it accepts different brands of the same battery type. I have another brand where the batteries get stuck in the original charger after sale. This charger also charges faster than original Dewalt single chargers.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great upgrade to 18v Dewalt tools

I have several 18v Dewalt tools and have upgraded to a small 20v impact wrench and impact drill. With this adapter I can use more powerful 20V batteries in an 18V system. . What difference does it make how to get a new tool and batteries can be bought for a fraction of the cost including inexpensive general purpose batteries. The shoe is durable and weighs less with more energy efficient 20V batteries.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Great price

Unlock keys are not user friendly

These adapters work well so far. Only thing I have to say is that the adapter's tool release buttons are poorly designed. While releasing the tool, the buttons are very finicky. Sometimes it even takes two hands, each with one finger, to press the buttons. This is from a man with 35 years of experience building and repairing tools. To be honest, the buttons work, but they could work a lot better.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Both burned out after 5 minutes of brief use

Scrap I sent them back. After about 5 minutes of little work, the first one just stopped working, the drill is fine, the battery is fine, etc. The adapter stopped working. Hooked up the same drill and battery to the second adapter and everything was fine for about 5 minutes, after which it stopped working. Pull out the old 18V battery, put both adapters and the 20V battery aside, and you're done with the old 18V battery. Absolute rubbish/junk both burned out on 1 job the first time I used them.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good option for your old Dewalt 18v tools

I bought a similar block off ebay a few years ago and it had a habit of getting stuck in my tools. So I rarely used it. These two did a lot better. They've breathed new life into my 18v Dewalt tools with 20v lithium batteries. I've read some reviews saying that storing the battery with these devices causes it to slowly discharge, but I usually separate my batteries from my tools if I leave them overnight I haven't noticed.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Will write later

Adapter for Dewalt 20V to 18V.

I have an adapter from DeWalt and I like two of these adapters much better than the DeWalt brands. First, they are much easier to insert into the device and much easier to remove! With the DeWalt brand adapter, you must first unplug the battery and then the adapter. I also love the fact that you can use these adapters to charge any USB device with a cable using the onboard USB ports! Very good deal for you! I use them all the time and reach for one before picking up my signature DeWalt.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some cons

Beware! Dewalt 20V battery destroyed on first use

I started buying 20V Dewalt tools a few years ago I still have some of my old 18V Dewalt tools including a grinder but my 18 volt batteries just don't hold a charge anymore. So I bought these adapters to continue using some of the older 18v tools. The first night I used one of the adapters with my 18v grinder, after about 20 minutes the battery started to drain. I removed the solution so I wasn't surprised. When I started changing it, the battery was very hot. I let it cool down and then tried…

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
