🔧 Black & Decker 587295-01 Platen: The Ultimate Tool for Efficient Sanding Review

Worked great to bring my old random orbital sander back to life that kept throwing discs. Seems to fit perfectly. There were a few minor manufacturing flaws that don't affect performance in any way, but I'm special. Therefore 4 out of 5 stars. Overall I'm happy with it and would buy it again. Holds slices and fits!

My mill shook a lot while working, it turned out that the holes around the bolts holding the roller in place fell out, so the roller shook and not just vibrated. This part fits perfectly and the grinder works again! No screws/washers are supplied so be careful not to lose these when removing the old one.

My old sander and pad have been running like clockwork for 5 years. This new pad is very easy to install on my grinder, fits perfectly, but the grinder vibrates like crazy when turned on, cannot maintain stable movements, and easily damages the work piece. I loosened the screws and the momentum got a little better, but I couldn't loosen any further or the pad would just fall off. .Not used.

I bought this new roller when the original roller wore out. It doesn't fit right. It's hard to say why. It is placed on the mounting tabs, but when tightening the screws, it gets stuck in the middle (i.e. the roller is deformed when tightening the screws). I put the old roller back in and didn't have this problem. A non-flat surface isn't useless, but it's not very useful. As I will not compromise on the quality of the cut this is not my choice and hence I am giving one star.
