Too thin even for scissors.

Poor quality, extra fixing needed to prevent sagging even when using lace curtains on a small window. Replacement with a higher quality decorative rod. Better to go with a standard aluminum curtain rod which I was hoping would replace. Also… the width is not adjustable. The bar is made up of several small sections that bolt together so you have to work with the width based on the number of sections used, not what you really need.

Suitable for covering vertical blinds

I got this rod to fit the 1" brackets I bought to fit the horrible vertical blinds they give us in apartments, I didn't want holes drill into the wall and let them eat my bail. The diameter of this bar is perfect for clamps, very satisfied! I also like that it's not a telescopic pole and you just twist the pieces together depending on the length you need. Really nice but be aware you will need an electric drill!

Overall a nice product and I really like that it's adjustable. It's nice to know that if I move to another apartment I can change the length of the pole and reuse it. However, note that installation requires an electric drill to create holes for the included plastic expanders, which I haven't mentioned in the product description. The instructions aren't very clear either. However, I used it to hang SUPER lightweight curtains so I could open it up and just attach it with the spare nails I had…
