Works for us! - air conditioners

This is the first portable air conditioner we've ever had, so it took a hot minute to install. The hardest part was figuring out how to twist the pieces of the tube together properly so it wouldn't fall apart again. Once we figured it out it was fairly secure and easy to set up. We put the styrofoam in the panel instead of the window so we didn't have to add styrofoam to every window we wanted to use it on. There are videos on YouTube about this and I recommend watching them. We've been usingโ€ฆ

Unsatisfied, many problems

After doing lots of research on portable air conditioners and watching HOURS of YouTube videos about Black and Decker and their various models. I bought this. Pros: It's easy to install. I made sure we left the device for more than 24 hours as the instructions said. Bad: Directions are usually not available. I. Trust all the other reviews of other Black and Decker portable models that say they're loud because they're loud, nails rattle and the motor is loud. It rattles and shakes and I can feel

It's getting cold, but due to lazy design decisions, it needs to be held.

Basically does its main job of blowing cold air better than most other manufacturers but some quality of life flaws. The Bad: 1. The window kit is a joke - comes with 3 pieces (about 6 inches wide) that fit most windows. The kit contains 6 screws. Yes, Phillips screws. You will need to screw them in on each side of the window kit. to fix it at the correct height/width. Great if you never plan on moving your device. PITA if you move your device frequently. much UV every day. Can't be bad, canโ€ฆ

An easy-care product.

Home office usage in the real world: Follow me feature: After a week of usage I couldn't stop noticing the room getting very cold before the device turned itself off. For example, it remains fully air-conditioned even after the room has cooled down. So I bought a good quality AC room thermostat to try and get a better picture. Turns out the "Follow Me" feature doesn't really work, it's more of a gimmick. According to the manual, the remote control sends a status update to the device every 20โ€ฆ
