I bought this to replace a 10 year old Krups grinder that was accidentally damaged when someone tried to grind nutmeg. One of the blades has lost the tip of the elbow. The new Black+Decker CBG110S grinds coffee beans but not as well as we would like here and nowhere near as good as the old Krups with the broken blade so let's go back to Krups and expect another 5 years. great coffee, just the way we like it here. My dislike is less for quality than for other things. The quality is so-so: when I tried to make a medium grind, I got uneven bits, but I usually grind. This is the first time ignoring reviews is serious Oh! Nothing is simple about this coffee grinder which ALSO claims to be versatile and can be used as a spice grinder. In my opinion, it hardly misses false advertising. If I ground the coffee beans myself, that would go in the trash.
