1 Year Winemaking Trial Period

I have purchased this item in the past and have had no issues with bad printing. Unfortunately they were accidentally thrown away with a bottle of wine. I've had other tops for over five years now and not a single one has broken or the plastic has come loose as well. They seal the wine and keep it fresh, whether white or red, chilled at room temperature. The bottle lay on its side more than a dozen times and surprisingly never leaked. Great item for corking open wine.

Best bet on real cork

So bottom cork wasn't an option for me, at least not right now. These tasting tops are perfect. I use it along with shrink wrap which was ordered separately after soaking it in water overnight and I was able to use it and bring it to a party and easily remove/replace the top. The content does not spill when the bottle is upside down. They popped out a bit, but I just put them back in before shrinking them down. I will definitely be ordering more as I ramp up production. Used with 750ml bottle.

Good, but. - Home brewery and winemaking

These are good corks for use with home-distilled spirits. But I have encountered a problem when using them with my limoncello as if the limoncello is in contact with the cork for too long and perhaps due to the strength of the alcohol they start to break down into alcohol. What I do now when I give people bottles of limoncello is they have to hold the bottles upright so the liquid doesn't hit the corks. Otherwise they are easy to use and work well with the shrink caps available from Revain.

Pros
  • There's something in it
Cons
  • Empty

If it survives the flight

Bought to seal its own wine. We recently went on holiday and decided to take two bottles with us. I used these black plastic plugs and then some PVC heat shrink tubing and was happy with the result. I wrapped the wine bottles in bubble wrap, put them in a gallon ziplock bag, placed them in the middle of our luggage and crossed our fingers. After a six-hour flight and transfer, they emerged unharmed. Thought if they could survive without spilling a drop they deserved my business. I will buy…

10 stars. Excellent and durable.

I bought these to fit in the Kelvinator under a certain standing shelf fully expecting to end up with a bunch of black caps and partial plugs. We're from Sonoma County and we love our wine. So far no one has broken in 1-2 months. That impressed me far beyond my expectations. I even gave my daughter a few and to this day not a single broken one. 10 stars for that. Note: Don't try to squeeze them in first until they get used to the size of the bottle neck. I'm already about 3/4 of the way down.

Pros
  • Full set
Cons
  • No insurance

I love them, but not all wine bottle holes are the same size!

They are good, I use them to cap empty wine bottles after making bottle lights (I used LEDs to prevent the bottle from getting hot). The only problem is that every bottle I've had was literally a different size. This means that the openings of the wine bottles were of different sizes, so that some did not close tightly and others very tightly. It's not the seller's fault, it just happened. I've found them to fit my wine bottles about 2/3 of the time and I just put a loose cap on the bottle with
