Still a great price and classic accessory

The welds are a bit sloppy on this recent example but the cage remains functional and strong. They just work and are used on a number of my bikes.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • So far so good

Cheap and cheerful, good for bottle cages

Bought this to ride a custom built and designed commuter bike. It certainly helps, but the finish looks like cheap powder paint and not the matte anodized look I was aiming for. You can't argue with the price and it's actually meant for a water bottle. If you're looking for something to style your bike with, bet and get the stainless steel version. Otherwise it does the trick.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Hard to say

Over the years new designs of water bottle cages have appeared. Most work fine. Some shave a few grams. The Blackburn cage is the same as it was 30 years ago and performs as well or better than any other. It can be easily bent so you can adjust how tight you want the bottle. They last forever, just a little black (if you turn black) rubs off. It's everything everyone needs and a safe bet.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • There are nuances
