Blackened Compatible Chevrolet Silverado Expedition Review

I have them on RAM they are only 3 months old and rusty. I'll find another brand and leave you, but I can't recommend anyone to buy them because I see other reports of them rusting quickly. It doesn't look like they've been cycled enough to ruin the finish as they were installed and not touched again so it's just a poor quality product.

Absolutely terrible. The ending on them is ridiculous at best. I use a scratch free head, hand tighten and tighten each jam nut and they look like garbage, the finish is basically just peeling off. I can't even imagine if someone tried to hit them there would be nothing left of the black coating. Extremely disappointed with this purchase.

I have no problems with the threads as stated in some reviews. However, I had to be very careful with a pry bar to tighten them because it scratched the paintwork. Someone else told me I can get a nylon pry bar insert that won't scratch the paint. Because the paint is so delicate, the manufacturer should include an insert or sell it as an option. What is the use of buying black nuts that immediately show light scratches from installation?

This review has been in the making for a few years, mostly because I finally got around to ordering replacement chrome grommets. I have black rims and wanted the lugs to be the same. The fit and initial finish were fine. I mounted them with a cordless hammer drill, not even a pneumatic one. After a few months I could see streaks of rust where the nest rested on the ledges. Now, 18 months later, these things are almost all orange. The claim to the authenticity of the color coating is overrated…
