He's back to work.

I don't think I've ever written a product review within hours of receipt/use. I noticed that most of the people buying this card lately are video gamers and people who are interested in video streaming. I'm a video editor, both professionally and as an amateur. My current video editing installation consists of Avid Media Composer 8.8.5. I'm running this on an older system. My motherboard is an 8-9 year old Asus P6T Deluxe V2. I'm still using Windows 7 (Ultimate 64). My multimedia (video) drives

Works great with OBS on Arch Linux (or not).

Update: I thought this worked fine, but in fact, recording with OBS 26.1 inserts a black frame from time to time, resulting in a crash in the video I'm creating. I don't understand the issue with Blackmagic's MediaExpress app, so it could just be an OBS error. However, I will continue to use my AV.IO 4k until the issue is resolved. Works great though. to Internal TV tuner and capture cards

I bought this card to capture game consoles on Linux. Installing drivers and software from the BlackMagic Support Portal was easy. I can say that this device works great if you only have modern consoles. this. Consoles with native resolutions of 720p or higher via HDMI. The WiiU worked great but couldn't get any signal at all for retro consoles without using an upscaler that also converted the composite to HDMI.
