A completely different sharpener. !

This thing is cool! This two-stage sharpener makes your sketch pencils long and laser-sharp. Worth a few dollars more! One note: I tried it on a cheap all-purpose pencil and although it had the same nicely pointed tip, the lead pulled out of the wood easily. So I guess the message is that you can't fix a cheap pencil; But if you use sketching pencils or other quality pencils, this is the sharpener you need. Highly recommended.

Perfect Point Pencils

These long tipped pencil sharpeners are great if you are picky about your pencil. Sharpening the wood and then cleaning the lead is a two-step process, but it's worth it. You don't have to pay extra for this Blackwing model though, as it's identical to my other long-tipped KUM sharpeners. My only star is that all of these sharpeners seem a bit finicky when it comes to sharpening. Blade Tension: It loosens a bit and the set screw needs adjusting (maybe I'm sharpening too coarse). EDIT: More expensive, fewer features than the regular KUM 2-stage sharpener

UPDATE: It's $5 more expensive than the regular KUM 2-stage sharpener and doesn't have 2mm rear sharpening blades. pencils. I didn't realize I was paying five bucks for a vanity and I would love it if they made it clear that these sharpeners are nearly identical and are made by the same company. It just has a nice Blackwing logo on the side if that's that important to you. (Original here: AS2M (1053121) Long Point Sharpener 2 Stages; 2 spare blades included. Shown for 2mm and 3.2mm. I don't have an electric one on my desk but I prefer mechanical

I'm a proofreader so I often have to sharpen my blue correction pen. I don't have an electric one on my desk, but I prefer mechanical ones. The two blades create a very long and sharp pencil point. I was so used to writing very hard that I had to get used to writing softer with this pencil after sharpening a pencil, otherwise the tip would break. I don't mind a sharpener or a pencil, I just write like that. As I started using a softer touch the tip broke less and I found the pencil wrote justโ€ฆ

Honestly I'm at a dead end. I used to have one of these sharpeners and it was fantastic. I recently lost it so I ordered two replacements. One for home and one for the office. Unfortunately I think the ones I received may be defective as the second hole that sharpens the pencil into a long thin point doesn't work with either of the two sharpeners I bought. I can't visually determine what the problem is. In the end, there is nothing stuck preventing the pencil from being fully inserted, and this

Beware of the sneaky adjusting screws!

When I first recorded this product and tried to use it, I was a bit frustrated. The first sharpening step seemed to work fine. But when I started running my pencil through the second fine point step, I couldn't get the graphite to sharpen without breaking it somewhere in the process. I used a black winged palomino and burned a good quarter of it before overcoming my frustration of thinking it just couldn't be right. It's a simple device and it's got great reviews. Why didn't it work? So I satโ€ฆ
