I am adding to the review. I bought this because my old Oster blender was leaking from the gear hole on the bottom. Auster had no spare part. I use a blender every day. Started leaking after 3 months of use. As usual - there is no way to contact the seller or ask for a replacement!

Fits the original 5 cup jar on my Classic Oster 500W blender but doesn't look like the original. The original can be used with Ball Mason jars, which is great for canning and slicing vegetables to keep in separate jars. this one is not. It's hard to see, but the strands are tighter and closer together when replaced. The bottom hole is also slightly different.

Could be better with alignment. After installation, the glass was leaking. I tried tightening a few combos but it leaked. Also difficult to clean. Impossible to clean with a brush by placing it directly in the glass. You need to take it out and clean it separately. Still serves a purpose if you damaged the original in some way. However, I like the quality. The blades are sharp and mixing is efficient.

Well, the blade itself is awesome! But the ring that screws onto the blender jar is a whole different story. It wasn't enough for one can. It started spinning fine, but then it cracked when I tightened it. Maybe it should have been loose, IDK. But I ordered it for the blade and spacer and they fit perfectly. The ring was a plus, and I broke the plus, so come on. It also arrived quickly and very well packaged.

I bought this to replace a broken part on a 10 year old Oster blender I bought at Costco for $30. It's not the same, but it turned out to be compatible. I'm very happy with this brand: very affordable blenders that work just like their expensive counterparts, are very durable and sell spare parts so their products don't end up in a landfill. I would put up a swamp if I could!

I have an old osterizer and the bottom lid ended up breaking. This hat best fits the description. Everything seems fine, you just have to be careful not to pull the base. The blade has a cheap feel and is incorrectly stamped "oster" even though it's not an OEM part. This is a Chinese fake with an illegal stamp. Decent value for money and easy enough to clean but this ice breaker blade didn't work as well as my standard oster blade that came with the Duralast Classic blender. The ice didn't hit! The margarita ice cream was left in the blender in chunks. This blade also makes the blender very loud, more so than the original blade. The main problem is the black bottom cover. This product goes very well with my 30 year old Oster digital blender. I bought it mainly as a base to replace my cracked one. The base is slightly smaller in external dimensions than the original, so the tapered fit between the motor base and the mixer base is a little less secure than the original, but works well.
