Couldn't find a recommended amp range for these 5/64" Blue Demon 7014s until they arrived. All practical purposes according to ChuckE2009 (YouTube welding gurus). Available locally from Northern Tool in boxes of 1 or 5 lbs. Also, range is similar to 3/32" Lincoln Fleetwood 180 (40-80 amps). This is a 6011 electrode that penetrates deeper with a flatter bead than 7014 and 6011 welds better on dirtier metal. Rated this 5 stars. However, make yourself familiar with your rod types. I'm rating this 5 stars for a small 7014, not 5 stars for "welding rods" in general. I like the 7014 for light work. I find the 7014 to be easy to use, all slag is removed cleanly (I don't mind slag - I know a lot of people don't like most slag), and in the vast majority of cases I get a really nice looking bead.
