Description of Industrial Power & Hand Tools: Blue Demon Plastic Powder Electrode
E7014 offers outstanding slag removal and bead appearance. This rod is ideal for jobs that require high deposition and speed of travel. Typical applications include ornamental iron, machine bases, heavy sheet metal and frames.
Blue Demon sells good consumables. They are high quality and the packaging is top notch. Although these are the only 7014's I've ever bought, I'm sure they tick all the boxes for a 7014. So I'm basing the rest of this review on my first impressions of 7014 rods in general. I bought them because I saw a review on Youtube that said they were easy to reboot and great for pinning. They're also available from Home Depot for a great price in a £5 box. 5/64" E7014 and…

I find the 7014 to be easy to use, all slag is removed cleanly (I don't mind slag - I know a lot of people don't like most slag), and in the vast majority of cases I get a really nice looking bead. For a balanced look of slag and caterpillar, I sacrifice the amount of slag to get clean caterpillars of 7014…
