The rotary knob is the best feature.

Just received, not yet used. It does look good in brass/aluminum though. I particularly like the adjustable flame controller that allows you to increase/decrease the intensity of the flame. Other propane cylinder burners are either "fully on” or "off”. This function alone (the setting option) is worth something. I'll update my review once I use it for spot repairing a tarmac road.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Protection

Buyers beware of flashlights

My flashlight would only stay on when it was straight up and down, as soon as I turned it sideways it would go out for 3-4 seconds and it was very difficult to turn the light on . pull the trigger 6 8 10 times light the flame the trigger didn't work for me either i'm a seventy year old carpenter i've had tools in my hands my whole life trust me this lamp is a piece of junk or maybe i'm just sick never mind what I do, I won't buy another one

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Not working

Doesn't work for me

I have used many types of burners in my life and replaced a very old Bernzomatic tip. However, this device did not turn on with the piezo trigger even though I set the gas flow to a very low level. Once I hand lit it, it was extremely spirited and extremely difficult to adjust the flame. After struggling to get it right, it suddenly flared up and the flame was useless. I've actually never had a burner tip to do this with. i give it back

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Requires socket

The best burner for the price, high quality, high heat output.

Great flashlight, replica Burnsomatic ts8000, only $10 off. I have a ts4000 for comparison and it puts out more heat and more flame. Adjustable flame and replaceable tip which is a big bonus and makes a big difference in heat output. I can't go wrong with this flashlight, I'm glad I took the plunge and grabbed it. I have ts4000 in blue flame side by side. You can see how much more flame the blue flame comes out and then another pic with a different tip and another one with the flame adjusted.

  • Nice to use

  • No

Do not do that! - Gas welder

The gas control knob broke almost immediately after opening. Revane graciously replaced him, but the same thing happened. This is a technical issue. The handle has a smooth insert, the flare insert in the handle has serrations; inevitably the handle turns. There are countless signs that quality control in manufacturing is not high. These include: damaged paint, missing paint, uneven paint, sanding/sanding marks poorly prepared for painting, and asymmetrical components. With your eyes closed…

  • Torch

excellent plumbing torch

As a plumber/boiler specialist, I use this item on a daily basis. I install large commercial boiler systems and mostly use 1 1/2" and 2" copper pipe, this has no problem heating the pipe to the point where the solder melts and makes a very good seal on the pipe. It appears to be a lot hotter than most manual plumbing torches used by the average plumber. I like that the tips are interchangeable. It comes with 3 tips, 1 fairly large, 1 medium and a small, the small produces a dense and very hot…

Pros
  • Welding equipment and accessories
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

This is what is advertised but does not fit some plugs

I selected an adapter to check but it came with the torch I bought with this weed torch to make it more portable for small jobs the hose on the weed burner is male threaded with a nipple end that mates with the 30# female thread on the tank. The adapter internal threads are too short to reach the hose threads when the nipple is against the gasket/O-ring in the adapter. Low cost, therefore retained for possible future applications, but not sufficient for current needs. Converting large tank…

Pros
  • propane torch
Cons
  • boring packaging

Works as advertised - ignites instantly and maintains a stable flame at any angle and in any position. Before writing this review I have only used a propane tank (haven't tried it with MAPP gas yet) for various small plumbing and flare roof projects. There are two ways to cut off the gas supply - either release the trigger or close the valve handle. Most convenient - you can turn off the gas supply by releasing the trigger, and leave the valve in the set position so you don't have to re-adjust…

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • High Price
