Description of 🐠 Phosphate Rx for Aquariums by Blue Life

Liquid solution that is quick, effective and works in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Amazingly simple and easy to use in fresh and saltwater aquariums. The formula instantly binds phosphate molecules, then filters them out.

Works best on fish and aquatic animals

Last night my house smelled like rotten eggs but the green hair algae are gone. I would recommend using a protein skimmer.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Driving me insane

lanthanum chloride. Works great if you turn on your brain first.

LaCl3 . way, WAY better than GFO, with the caveat that you _really_ have to watch what the heck you're doing. Reduce the recommended dosage by about 50%, especially in nano and pico aquariums. Is this thing a miracle? No, it's chemistry and it does an excellent job of removing excess phosphate from the solution. Aim for 0.03ppm phosphate as it is *required* by corals. However, don't pour your phosphates like a rock. Use smaller doses than recommended. They prevent the development of a state of…

Phosphate under control

I have a 54g corner tank that has been refitted with live rock and aragonite from a rebuilt tank. Was able to get a quick handle on my water other than phosphate. Months later my coral and fish were thriving and didn't seem to notice, but I was concerned about elevated phosphate levels after many, many water changes. I used the phosphate control at a reduced dose and my levels dropped from 1.0 to 0.5 overnight. I left it for a week, redosed and done to the mark. This material fogs up the water…

Pros and cons Phosphate Rx

Great product, lowered the phosphate level in my 90g (about 70 gallons with rock extrusion and refugium) from 0.79 to 0.35 in just 21 drops. Be sure to use 10 micron socks and adjust your protein skimmer after adding it to the tank to ensure proper export. However, be sure to remove your socks for washing within about 6-10 hours to prevent phosphates from precipitating back into the water as the additives wear off. I noticed my phosphate levels drop to 0.44 by the time I took my socks off about

  • Fingers crossed

Follow the instructions!

I received my 2 hand saltwater tank with a lot of problems. Over time I was able to fix everything with vodka dosing and water changes EXCEPT phosphates. I've struggled with my phosphates for months, I've bought special filter pads, reduced feeding as much as possible, switched coral food brands, made sure the coral food was targeted and not diffused. No changes so far. That. Is a. Magic. Follow directions closely, err on the side of underdosing. I checked the day, dosed, checked the next day…

It's a good product, but it's important to know what it is.

This is a good product, but it's important to know that it has its drawbacks. It binds to the phosphates in your reef tank which are then removed by skimming or using a 10 micron filter sock. I used it after a fish died in my aquascape that I couldn't remove. I added more GFO but struggled with algae associated with fish kills. It is very easy to use and works well, Phosphate RX. However, it will lower your alkalinity. In my SPS tank, where I maintain moderately high alkalinity, I simply could…

The good news is that it lowers phosphate levels

The good news is that it lowers phosphate levels. My problem is that I had a fish loss while using it. Maybe it's a coincidence (this kind of thing happens in a reef aquarium) but I can't fully rate it as in the two weeks I've been taking it (only 4 times) I've seen the fish grow within a few days died. in two of them. My previously bulletproof school of 10 Chromics dropped to 6, I lost a Blackcap Basslett, Blueside Wrasse and Melanavr Wrasse that had been laying there for a couple of years…
