I was expecting them to be a bit flimsy like those I've bought in this size in the past, but they are extremely strong and heavy. I use them to hang toys and beds in my pet cages and the thin ones work great so I know they will be perfect. 5 stars for the great workmanship and fast shipping!

I didn't buy them for shoelaces. I use it to hold the strainer in the dishwasher that seals my dishes to keep them from tipping over. They are a really good size and are very durable. The problem is that they are IMPOSSIBLE to open. Too hard. My fingers hurt after trying to open them. And I have to use a few on the item and THEN attach it to the dishwasher shelf. You shouldn't come back.

The wording in the description is a bit misleading and I decided to clarify here - these hooks are not made of nickel, they are simply painted a nickel colour. I have no idea what metal they're made of, but they're weaker than most, and most importantly, they rust very, very quickly. So if you want hooks that can get almost wet I would look elsewhere. If you don't care, then they will work for you. In the photo, the hook was under water for a little less than an hour.
