I don't know how it works because Wi-Fi ID and password are limited to 8 digits and prevent the homeowner from opening all accounts from 15 on 8 that he refused to do so and by notifying every company he worked with about the change I was unable to activate it. This software is easy to install and use. I can view photos and videos on my phone while sitting in my chair. The only problem I had was that I upgraded to a new iPhone and the app wasn't found in the Apple Store. I contacted WO support and they responded within 24 hours with a link and instructions for the app. There was a new application and a name change. It only took a few minutes and I was ready to go. I'm not a hunter, I was just looking for a battery powered backyard trail camera that can be placed anywhere. While I haven't captured anything "wild" with the camera yet, after setting it up in the yard and living room I was able to test image quality, video and night vision by photographing my dog and moving within sight. Unfortunately, this was a very unintuitive product. The Wi-Fi feature was a big plus for me. But trying to get it working took more time and effort than the product was worth. After giving up the Wi-Fi feature, we turned it on to see if it even did its primary function. This too was a disappointment. Update 4/15/21 The seller contacted me about my problems with the camera and offered another camera at his expense to solve any problems I encountered am.
