After trying this product, I was disappointed to find that it didn't effectively filter out impurities from my car's oil. While the price may be attractive, the quality is lacking. The only pro is that it is easy to install. However, this is outweighed by the con of its inability to properly filter oil. I wouldn't recommend this to any automotive owner looking for reliable replacement parts.

This is a filter for the X5's 50i engine (and others that use the same engine). An OEM part is an order of magnitude cheaper than a dealer one. If this is your first time doing this, I recommend looking at the filter housing torque wrench. Lots of sharp edges in a hard-to-reach area, even after removing the panels to access the case. When you use this tool, the work becomes very quick and easy. Comes with body o-ring, lock washer and everything you need except oil.

This is an OEM oil filter for the 2014 BMW 550i as well as many other models. The price is great with rubber o-rings and a new copper washer for the drain plug. Easy to install, remove the cartridge with an oil filter cap remover. The filter is mounted on a rubber O-ring, therefore a strong pull is required to remove the filter from the housing. Replace the o-rings, install the new filter by pushing it in until you feel it click into place. Reinstall filter and housing. Torque at 18.5 ft-lbs…
