I bought these despite the bad reviews. I'm sorry I wasn't worried. Many previous reviews have said that screw caps are not suitable. You are absolutely right! These plate frames do NOT come with screws. The screw at the bottom of the cover cap must be tightened precisely, otherwise the screw cap will not hold. When tightening the screw, you also have to make sure that it sits exactly in the middle of the base, which is extremely cumbersome and uncomfortable. But even in this case you have to…

The frame comes with self-adhesive pads to protect the number plate from direct contact with the car. It also comes with "screw caps". (I threw away those two things.) Both things are useless and I'm surprised BMW included this in the package. If you use pads, the screws are too short to screw in (didn't want to go out and find or buy new screws that fit). The BMW comes with a "rear frame" so the number plate doesn't touch the car directly, so there was no waste (at least for me). Cheap plastic
