Really Nice Well-designed Temperature Controller

Really good temperature controller; easy to set up. I didn't need high and low temperature alarms, so I set the values to the upper and lower limits of their respective ranges. I found the specified temperature accuracy to be very good; Shift was not necessary. I've seen reviews complaining about the temperature error. To check accuracy, attach the tip of the controller's temperature probe to the tip of a reference thermometer, then immerse it in cold and then warm water. If there is an…

I like this idea, but unfortunately I couldn't get it to work.

Apparently an electrical engineer wrote the manual. It's unnecessarily complicated and left me unsure if the poor performance was due to a defect or because I didn't have the right degree to run this thing. The idea is very simple, it has a heating candle and a cooling candle. Connect the heater for heating and the cooler for cooling. Then set the desired temperature followed by a value below the set temperature where you want to start heating and a value above where you want to cool down. But…

  • SAFETY AND RELIABILITY: The advanced thermostat controller has overload protection and is ETL listed. Rated voltage 125 VAC, 60 Hz, maximum load: 15 A/1875 W, 1/2 HP, TV-5. Please ensure that children or pets are left at home unattended to avoid hanging cords and other dangerous situations.
Cons
  • Not sure

Nice little box but a bit odd in the programming and instruction symbols for each function. Be sure to read, understand and test before use, especially the alarm function. When an alarm goes off, the device turns off your device, which is actually worse for chickens. Low temperature, an alarm will sound and the unit will turn on the heat lamp until it resets. The temperature reaches a high level and an alarm sounds, the fan turns on until the device is reset. A simple fix is to not set alarms…

Works perfect! Great performance Suitable for heaters

I use heaters for my milk house in my greenhouse and the thermostats suck. They work great and have sufficient throughput. Excellent temperature sensors with sufficiently long leads can be placed at a reasonable distance from the heaters. I would like an extension cord for better placement of the sensor. Easy to use but the instructions are difficult to understand. You'll figure them out eventually, but some engineer must have written them! LOL It has one output for heating and one for cooling.

  • Temperature controller

  • Out of fashion

NOT SUITABLE FOR CHICKENS READ DESCRIPTION

This is a good device but the instructions could definitely be written better. Likewise, everyone knows it. It takes about 3-5 minutes for the cooling device to turn on when the temperature gets too high. Let's say you want it to be at 95 and it goes through, the heater turns off but the cooler takes a while to turn on. If the temperature continues to rise the cooler will turn on, but when it reaches 96 the heater will turn off and wait to see if it drops before turning on the cooler. It's been
