Tape Separator (BS)

After 1 hour of assembly I installed the BS on my Shakespearean marine antenna. And my AM/FM radio had no sound. I ended up going to Walmart and bought a car antenna and it works great. Band Separator was a waste of money.

Good product and works as advertised, slightly more expensive

Works as advertised. Good product and saves your boat an antenna. And come on guys, bitch about having to put the plug in. They do this so you can adjust the length of wire you need and it doesn't actually need to be attached. While this unit offers good FM reception, FM is mediocre at best and AM is almost non-existent. On my old boat, the AM/FM antenna was mounted on the bow rail and…

It works but the cable needs improvement

I installed it on my boat to use my VHF antenna as an AM/FM radio antenna. It works great and in fact my boat now has the best AM/FM reception I can imagine. This setup beats my home audio system by a mile. And my FM radio works fine. I can't tell any difference in the quality of FM reception or transmission. However, anyone who uses VHF knows that you cannot always rely on the person you are trying to call to actually receive and answer you. But I did a few radio checks with the local marina…
