Fryer thermometer

I used my fryer thermometer on a new homemade turkey fryer I received and it worked great. It was easier to attach to the large rim of the fryer than other thermostats.

Accuracy disappointed

Terrible accuracy. I bought these to replace the ones I've had for years. They are read 50 degrees apart. I ended up having to use my old one to test my tenp.

Works as it should

Not much to say. It worked. It didn't need to be calibrated. I continue to use it for frying. Nothing bad to say. Easy to set up, be careful when moving it while attached to a pan full of oil.

Cannot calibrate

Tested with boiling water but no match. Shooting a mother without knowing which way to go rendered her useless! If anyone knows a better one please let me know. This one is useless. What does heat mean in general here in the test?

Costs money! Best in Utensils & Gadgets Category

You'll be amazed that this thermometer fits any pan depth. It's not waterproof so I wouldn't submerge it in water to clean it. Wipe after each use, easy to clean. I haven't used any other device to test its accuracy, but it seems pretty close. A good buy. A good product!

Look at the product before opening the packaging.

Received my new thermometer just in time for a fried food dinner party. In my excitement I tore open the packaging and found that it didn't work. The dial reads 500 degrees. I put him in ice and boiling water thinking he was stuck but he never moved to check the temp.

Must be calibrated! When shipped, it is very inaccurate - it reads 200 degrees in boiling water.

This thermometer is not as accurate as supplied. It does not pass the boiling water test. Boiling water is 212 degrees at sea level (where we are), but our thermometer reads 200 degrees if left in boiling water for more than a minute. Reached 200 and stopped. Check out the short video I uploaded showing a thermometer at 200 while sitting in boiling water. Luckily, it can be calibrated with a wrench while holding the hex nut on the back while turning the dial to show the correct temperatureโ€ฆ
