Bought to use with a rod holder I made for myself. I bought it to wrap the poles when on the mount to protect them from thieves, works great and had no problems! Programming the key for my 2004 Jeep Wrangler was very easy.

I bought several locks and use them to secure my surge protector to the junction box, secure the spare tire to the track and secure the propane tank to the frame. I use other screws to attach the hitch to the receiver and secure the hitch (padlock). Best of all, my only truck key locks/unlocks everything!

One of my favorite accessories for my Jeep Wrangler. I have several of their products. A hitch lock, a lock for my spare tire, and this cable and lock for anything I want to secure from top to bottom in the back of the jeep (like a cooler). Yes, I knew if someone really wants to steal something, they will. But just to keep people from grabbing my cooler from behind with the top down, no problem so far.

Everything works as advertised. The only problem is that instead of regular steel cable they used spiral steel cable which is too difficult to use as it tends to get back into a twisted state. If you have a bike rack like me, trying to block the bikes with this tether is like trying to solve a puzzle of how to properly thread the tether through the bikes. I love these locks from BOLT. Sturdy, very durable and very comfortable. Don't worry about where the key to the locks is as long as I have the key to the truck. The reason I only gave this model 4 stars is because of the reel. The spool made it difficult to thread the cable through the attachment points and stretch it to get to the right spot. I actually had to settle for 1 less attachment point to secure my toolboxes because it didn't unravel or go through the attachment points and I know it…
