Black oxide finish resists corrosion. Universal lobular design fits all types of fasteners. Square drive fits impact wrenches, or drills and impact drivers when used with included adapter.

Impressive Bolt Extractor!

I recently purchased this tool and I have to say I'm impressed with its performance. My analysis of this product showed that it truly grips on any bolt, stripped or not. The tool's design allows for easy extraction without damaging the surrounding materials. The build quality of the tool is also top-notch, making it durable for long-term use. The only downside I found was that it can be quite pricey compared to other bolt extractors. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone in need…

Pros
  • Grips on any bolt, easy extraction, durable build quality.
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other bolt extractors.

Irwin 9/16 "BOLT GRIP " gets Ford's rounded 5.4L spark plug!

Changing the spark plug on my 2006 F150 5.4 got stuck and I rounded off the collar but didn't crack the spark plug. I used a good tooled electric percussion gun. The cork got stuck because I had no way had to pick it up and loosen it from the cylinder, other than breaking and removing it with special tools and a skilled process. The Irwin 9/16 seemed to dull a bit after only using it once, which is acceptable. I like how the inside of the socket area narrows as the breech moves up the socket as

Pros
  • Manufactured from high quality carbon steel for durability and longer life. Burnished oxidation protects against corrosion
Cons
  • Very expensive

Saved the day - works as advertised

Okay - I was in a hurry and used a 15mm hex on a 14mm bolt which that holds the engine mount in my Mazda. Rounded up. Nothing could bring him down. I was able to pull off another one with the correct 14mm hex, but I needed my long cocking rod for that one too. So - I read the reviews - I looked interesting - so I bought it. I used an impact wrench with an extension for about 20 seconds. Good thing he didn't move. So I carefully pulled out the air hammer and put my 28" cheater in the extension…

Pros
  • Reverse spiral grooves compress more as resistance increases for maximum traction
Cons
  • Folds
