Not sure about charger accuracy

I bought a Bonai charger that came with 4 D-type rechargeable batteries. I also bought 8 more of the same type. They are Ni-MH, 10,000mAh. Charged all 12 batteries until the charger indicated they were full. After the charger indicated they were charged I took some previously charged D batteries and put them back in the charger without using them to see if the charger recognized them as charged. Charging slow, strange discharging settings

D batteries took over 12 hours to charge. I know they have a large capacity, but that's a lot of time. Besides, why would anyone need a battery drain feature? Strange attitude. It should either load or not. But this thing has a discharge setting. ***Update: The charger has been working fine for a while. Live that it charges my aaa on D. However, it has since started blinking on a port with no battery. Since this looks like a bug and most likely a failure of that charging port, I'm replacing it…
