My husband loves French Press coffee and this coffee pot is very attractive with its red and white design. The colors are strong and the red really stands out. The press worked well and the coffee strainer is so finely meshed that only a very small amount of sediment remained in our coffee cups. BonJour French Press in stoneware with red stripes is very nice. The style and colors fit perfectly in my kitchen and seem to awaken the senses when looking at them. The press holds exactly 32 ounces of liquid inside, not 8 cups unless you typically drink 4 ounce cups at a time. I think it's important to note that it's not actually 8 full cups of liquid. This is a beautiful heavy ceramic French Press. It's a bit more decorative than my other French presses. You probably already know what a French press is and how to use it, it works just like any other. Pour coffee (ground recommended) or loose leaf tea into the carafe, add water boiled to the desired temperature, pour in, steep for the recommended/preferred time, then slowly push the plunger down. In hindsight, ceramic cookware isn't the best choice for a French press, at least not considering the design of the BonJour press. I love the way it looks (festive for the winter holidays) but that's about all I like. At first I was disappointed to see that large styrofoam blocks were used to pack the product.
