Description of 🚣 Black Kayak Pad Eye Tri-Grip Rivet Kit - Booms Fishing MA1

Kayak pad eye kit is perfect as a deck loop or tie-down for Kayaks, roped accessories and many other uses. Black pad eyes are made from injected molede plastic, providing 1/2" across and 3/8" high attachment points for seats, leashes, etc. Aluminum rivets are with black powder coating and waterproof gaskets, for mounting hardwares where you don’t have access to the back side of a fastener. Rubber washers help in making the drilled hole water tight from water that might splash on to the accessory being fastened by these rivets. Rivet grip range 1/6"-1/2 ". 3/16" in diameter.

Works Like Clockwork Kayak Accessories

Works Like Clockwork! I prefer to use rivets over screws when attaching items to my Pelican Trailblazer kayak. I used grommets and rivets to attach the elasticated end caps to attach to poles and other items on the yak. Will definitely buy more if needed!

Pros
  • Nice Packaging
Cons
  • Price

Much better than screws or bolts

These rivets are easy to install on your kayak and are much easier than using bolts and nuts when preparing the back of the kayak is difficult. They come in solid condition and have held up well so far. I installed many grommets in my kayak to attach lines so they could be held in place if it ever capsizes and this made installing the grommets easy.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Only available in black

These things swing way better than propellers!

To be honest, this is the best option for attaching accessories to a kayak! In cases where you want to store something in a place where you don't have access to the inside of the case, this is the only option. I'll buy a second pack in case I need to attach things to my friends kayaks!

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for kayak fishing.

Use these as attachment points on my fishing kayak. I applied silicone to the rivets and to the underside of the pad tab. Be sure to hold the riveting tool firmly against the rivet with your free hand as you pump the rivet. This will ensure the rivet comes off cleanly without jamming the tool. They are durable and fit perfectly.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons

Just like the originals

My friend gave me a very expensive kayak, but it has stood still for several years. Fixed that and a few other things and everything. They are almost identical to the originals. I even messed up and abused them and they were able to hold the whole kayak on just two of them. Only problem is I ran out and now I need to get more.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • working speed

Fits perfectly on my Cobra Sit on Top

I have a Cobra Explorer single seat kayak and a couple of the pad tabs broke and some were just missing a rivet on one side. These Tri-Grip grommets and rivets are the exact size of the original so I didn't have to drill new holes and everything fitted perfectly! I already had a riveting tool so installation was quick and easy! I am very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Works great on kayaks

I haven't had any problems with grommets or rivets when used with grommets. I tried installing the rod holder with rivets and they didn't break. It's all my fault. Use eye rivets and you'll be fine. I'm learning plastic. Also, be sure to use seawater sealant. After drilling, cover the holes with enough sealant and then use rivets. Give the sealer 24 hours to dry and you're done.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Nothing

This is the road to plastic boats.

Ideal for upgrading a kayak. Rivets work much better than screws in plastic. I used them to mount the anchor carriage and other attachment points on the Pelican. Easy Installation Drill a 3/16 hole, apply a coat of silicone, and rivet the eyelet to the body. The rivet has a rubber gasket that seals the rivet and the cushioning eyelet, and silicone gaskets between the sealing eyelet and the boat hull. Three clicks on the rivet tool and they are permanently set.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I used some silicone to ensure there were no leaks during installation. Lightweight, durable and now I'm just waiting for the bungee cord to arrive. I used this to attach 6 loops to the front of my kayak so I can easily take my small day pack with me when I travel. Very happy, I would recommend these as the first easiest and most inexpensive project you can do if your kayak doesn't already have them. Every kayak I own will get them.
