Decent product but there are flaws.

Glides smoothly on the track and is well built. The downside is that the back corner of my saw can wobble, preventing it from cutting at a 90 degree angle. It's also a bit of a chore to do the math every time to get your cut. On my saw, the track should be 1 7/8 inches wider than the desired cut. Also note that drive protection will not work when in use. Thus, at the end of the cut, the blade opens. I accidentally planted it a few times before the blade stopped spinning.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Doesn't slide well on the clamping edge

This will not work with the smaller Porter Cable circular saw that I use most. Only one of the three clamps supplied is attached to the saw base plate. I attached the plate to a larger Skil saw, but the plastic saw plate fits snugly against the aluminum rail, making it difficult to move the saw along the rail. When using an extension bar for longer cuts, the plate often binds at the junction of the two bars. It will be much easier for me to just use the splint without the plate. I am returning…

Doesn't work well with a 5-1/4 miter saw

I have a Craftsman 5-1/4 cordless miter saw. I use these for most large plywood cuts. Cut guide and thought the "sled" would work fine with it. After a while, once I set up the sled, I used it to cut a piece of plywood. It worked fine, so I figured I'd be in the shop. A few Weeks later I need to cut 3/4" thick plywood. As I found out, the previous plywood wasn't exactly 3/4" thick. After I cut through the 3/4" plywood, I still had a very thin piece that the saw wouldn't cut. I tried the saw…

Do you like using plywood? You need this item

If like me you really love working with plywood, you need a way to make nice straight long cuts. If you're a pro, you should probably buy a dedicated chainsaw. However, they can be a bit expensive. For the hobbyist, this straight track slide is the only way out. Yes, the slide is made of plastic. I wouldn't use it professionally. It would never last. But considering the price of these snowmobiles and how good they are, if you enjoy cutting straight lines you should definitely have one of these.

  • Stylish and modern design

Well made but too small

I really like the different Bora products I've bought so far. I was really looking forward to that. I received it yesterday and immediately opened it and dropped the packaging. I wish I hadn't thrown away the packaging. I am planning to use it on my Bosch 6 1/2" cordless circular saw. I have tried attaching the saw plate to my saw. I attached my saw but barely. The plate would be much better if it had the plate 2 or 3" wider to hold the front of the saw base in place. One of the two clamps fits
