Perfect fit for my 2002 Audi A4 1.8T

Bought for my 2002 Audi A4 1.8T At 137,000 miles the original pump died. It was a direct replacement. The exchange took less than an hour. Works perfect. Made in Germany. The quality is very similar to the original VDO.

I do not recommend buying this part.

The pump worked 4 months and failed, contacted Revain, they sent me to production, the manufacturer said he had 1 year warranty, they sent me back to Revain, and nothing but excuses from Revain. Revain customer service is NOT ready to help.

Will not work for spares

Injectors cleaned and fuel filter replaced. I'm pretty sure there wasn't enough fuel pressure as I had to start the car with starter fluid and it then ran very sluggishly. Maybe I had a bad pump, maybe not. You cannot return an item that has been splattered with petrol.

Refurbished Bosch part.

The box it comes in is a standard box so don't worry the picture on the box will look different. Bosch pump itself but other parts from VDO stock. I believe this is a remanufactured Bosch part with OEM parts and a Bosch pump. The overall quality is good and it did a great job of solving my problem of not starting.

Recommended original part costs twice as much (VDO)

Recommended original part costs twice as much (VDO). So I thought I might take a risk by buying after the sale. But at Bosch there is usually calm. It does NOT come with a fuel pump filter, so be sure to get one from the dealer ($15). I installed it a month ago and haven't had any crashes or problems in over 1500 miles. I also recommend changing the fuel filter. I actually saved money by buying a fuel filter from an Audi dealer.

Great pump, but make sure you properly seal any ports not in use!

I am from New Zealand and this fits my 2002 Japanese model Audi A4 Avant Quattro 3.0L and is a direct replacement for the stock VDO unit which failed after 190,000km. Even with international shipping, it was way cheaper than anything I could find locally. The only issue I had was that this pump had an extra return port which the original pump didn't have and after filling my tank I found a small plastic cap that covered this port but does not prevent leakage. I made a plug out of a piece ofโ€ฆ

Great price from a trusted brand

I have had multiple fuel pump failures on my 2004 Audi A4. Each time this happened, the mechanics replaced it with a factory VDO unit. After three breakdowns this time I decided to fix it myself but used this Bosch pump instead. This pump is an exact replacement for the VDO unit. It was half the price of a VDO made by the manufacturer that has most other car components (Bosch) and appears to deliver higher fuel pressure than a VDO pump. It's also quieter than a VDO pump (at least in myโ€ฆ
