Bosch Benchtop Router Table RA1181 Review

Deformed upper. The warp is so great that when I hold the board to one side of the table it doesn't even bite with a 1/8" router. Totally useless. However, I took the legs, switch, and router mounting plate and turned a 2" square section of a flat door into a router table. So I can't get it back as I'm using some parts but please note this router table is absolute rubbish.

this is a terrible router table. The insert plate has a non-standard size, which prevents the use of an improved insert plate. I love my Bosch tools. They are amazing. I bought this router table. This is complete rubbish. The table is not flat. It has signs of wear and scratches. My indicator shows large fluctuations. Despite being grounded, it is bent and deformed. The same goes for the center panel that holds the router. He's spoiled. After using the thing a little, I really don't like it. As others have pointed out, the countertop is anything but flat. In the photos it looks like the top is flat, but that's just an illusion. I don't think aluminum can be stamped, but it looks like they did. The surface is raised around each hole and center insert. Small pieces of wood slide like waves over this plate. This is my first and only router table. Of all the tools I own, I *hate* this thing right off the bat and am about to upgrade. I'll spend everything to get a proper router table after using this one. It's a shame, because otherwise I have great confidence in Bosch products. Build was ok, not as bad as other reviewers write.
