I had a project where I was installing a gas insert in my 64 year old brick and concrete chimney. I couldn't find a contractor to drill the 2.5" hole I needed, so I bought this drill bit and a Bosch hammer. I need to drill a hole almost 3 feet deep so I had to buy and lengthen this bit. That's great! It cuts through brick and concrete very well. I stopped in between to let it cool down as the concrete I was drilling into was very, very old and very hard. I have also tried to keep the vacuumβ¦
This drill and other drills I have purchased work as they should. These bits won't drill dozens of holes in old concrete. You'll be lucky if you get 5 or 6 holes out of a bit. It will drill through steel rebar, but this must be done carefully and will dull the drill significantly, so use a rebarβ¦

They have always been strong and reliable. Hammer causes problems. On first use after purchase, the clean pin holding the pilot's cap broke off. This is to be expected after repeated use. Not after the first few minutes of use. I've used this attachment a total of 4 times and he's probably already missing half his teeth. I have neverβ¦
