I had a difficult case where I had some rotting, moisture damaged 2x6 horizontal lintels in an exterior wall that were nailed on the inside. I didn't have room to put the saw in. This worked great for me to hollow out the sections and remove the headings.

Ideal for outdoor woodworking. The shape is exactly the same as the chisel you will use with your hammer/hammer - a straight chisel, not the wing chisel shown in any of the online images. -> Good honing never hurts! Bosch also makes an SDS chisel for outdoor carving, these two chisels are a great combination.
