Took just over a week, received the idle control valve code, the Zeus scanner showed a mechanical failure in the idle control valve.

Quality part from a quality manufacturer. I am a German auto mechanic and in the past my workshop has tried to use Asian parts because they are much cheaper but a third of the time these parts don't work. Bosch is a brand I trust first time and this ICV is no exception.

This unit was an exact replacement for a stock 2000 BMW E39 528i. Had code P1510. Lots of reasons for the code so I went with the simplest things like clearing the MAF, no help, checking for induction leaks, no then I replaced the ICV with it and the problem was fixed. Easy job, had to pull out the DISA valve and lower intake hoses and pull out the ICV. Spent an hour and saved hundreds compared to dealer.

My independent BMW shop is back with a $350 value for the idle control valve from a local dealer. I wrote down the part number (BMW #13-41-1-744-713) and quickly checked Revain.
