Drill bits are ok but drill 1/4" aluminum slowly and even more slowly into a steel boat trailer. Plastic box is good but very hard to read dimensions cast in plastic They don't bite, and it was a bit of a hassle to drill into metals.They're probably good for wood and plastic, but not the best for metals.

Disappointed before you even use it. The drills come in a nice red plastic holder. Only the drill size inscriptions are written with a thin laser, very small, part of the injection molding and in red. Why red? Because what color stands out better than red on red! I have 20/20 vision and have trouble seeing labels. Bosch is embarrassed to develop a good product and fail miserably with a poorly designed container.

Waste drill bits used to try to drill holes in steel for a custom garden tractor hitch and couldn't keep them past a few holes even when starting small and 3 increased Fold to 3/8 inch hole. We're talking hardened or stainless steel, but they're no better than standard HSS bits. Nowhere have I seen a hardness rating on them. Found from the same brand at Menards for a few bucks more, the m42 shows what is about the hardest part you can buy.
