🔪 High-Performance BOSCH T102BF 13 TPI Bi-Metal Jig Saw Blades for Clean Plexiglas Cuts - 3-Piece Set Review

I bought these because my local hardware store didn't have them in stock. Their price here was better and they work great on plexiglass. Very satisfied, I think they will keep me for a very long time.

I cut a lot of large and fairly thick ABS sheets and this is a good set of blades for jigsaw cutting. Works well and they seem to last a long time. Definitely longer than that of circular saws for plastic. I'll get more, I'm sure, in the future.

I cut 1/4 inch thick polycarbonate with no problem. I recommend using a decent jigsaw with a bit more power than a battery powered miniature, but it can (For those who don't know: polycarbonate is stronger than plexiglass, but not as strong as glass for cutting through).

Tried on 2 $40 sheets to get a clean cut, taking all precautions, both sheets were chipped and cracked. Note: The panels had disposable wooden tops and bottoms, firmly clamped, sitting on an anti-vibration mat, and it was still too rough, causing chips and barrel cracks.

Bought to cut 1/4" plexiglass (0.22 to be exact) and it worked like a champ. I used a low setting (as recommended) and was able to , albeit a bit slow, cut and shaped what I wanted with little to no problem.Highly recommended if you have plexiglass to cut

I had them cut a sheet of plexiglass that wasn't thick at all and break it into pieces. I tried several times but the result was the same. The blade seems to thrash the sheet and doesn't work well. Then I tried the T118A, a high speed metal cutting machine, and it worked great. Don't waste your money on these blades and use the T118A for Plexiglas.

It cut through a 0.12 inch (3mm) thick sheet of polycarbonate like a hot knife through butter when used in a 20 volt jigsaw became. It also chewed through my 4mm thick PC ABS computer case just as easily. In both cases the cuts were nice and clean. Although I've only made about 4 foot cuts with one blade, the blade itself has shown no signs of wear and still feels very sharp.

These are amazing blades. Just unbelievable. I have a nice little sailboat cabin and I was trying to replace the all round cockpit window. When using other blades in my jigsaw, the blade overheated and deformed the acrylic plexiglass, or the plexiglass broke entirely. Also, the heat generated by the blade can cause it to melt and the cutting edges to become very rough. I tried so many times and it just didn't work. So I ordered them hoping it would be different.
