🔊 Bose Soundbar Wall Bracket - Black (802171-0010) Review

Better make all connections before installation. After installing the soundbar, there is no more space. I mean zero space. Barely enough for power and HDMI cables, and that's only because the 700 soundbar has holes in the back.

Seriously, that's a terrible price. I regret buying this. There's no reason I shouldn't have saved up and walked away with a generic, other than that someone else wanted to pay a brand loyalty tax by buying Bose. $15 would be reasonable, $40-$50 is gross.

Given that other soundbars (like the Sonos Beam/Bar) have wide, solid brackets at the same price point, what's in the box is disappointing and overpriced. Two brackets and a couple of screws - and, why isn't clear, a short piece of cable management in an incomprehensible color. It assembles superbly, as you'd expect, but given what you're paying it should have been in the point of the 700 box.

Like at least one other reviewer, I had a very hard time figuring out in early September 2020 if and how these brackets were actually (as advertised) compatible with a Bose TV. speaker (which I bought at the same time). The instructions that came with my order did not cover the (then new) Bose TV speaker. I painstakingly spent a lot of time on the internet (looking through instructions for other non-Bose mounts that actually apply to the Bose TV speaker) and talking to Bose customer service and

I don't understand how this product left the factory. Paying $40 to start with for such a simple thing is a bad start. But then it says it's compatible with the Bose Soundbar 500, but when you try to install it and connect the soundbar with an optical HDMI or S/PDIF cable, the jacks don't fit between the wall and the soundbar. You could argue that this is a design flaw in the soundbar, but this wall mount is designed for the same model of soundbar. You can see that the two standard connectors…
