Cheese Roller in Kitchen & Dining Room

I bought this for a professional chef. I hope he likes it. I think it's very cool and it was shipped right away! I am very happy to give it to him!

Wonderful party favor

What a wonderful party favor. It's great for your guests to create their own curls or prepare them for a cheeseboard. A very good quality.

Terrible quality: kitchen utensils and gadgets

Terrible quality, will definitely be back. This is a one time use and we just wanted to give it a try. You need to be careful with your hand because the wood is not well finished.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • So-so

Cheese board Hit

Bought for a festive evening in a large company of wine and cheese lovers. It was a hit, as was TΓͺte de Moine, which he held. My only complaint is that the base might be too small or not heavy enough. It takes one hand to stabilize and hold it in place while the other hand turns the "knife" to create curls. The marble-based version of Boska might work better.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Compatibility

A bit weak for the price. You have to be really gentle and it was just annoying being "that guy" who told my family not to push at all. For the money it should be a thicker bolt with a metal brace, not just a small nut glued on. However, the blade was outstanding. Great curls when used correctly.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • No machine

I read an article about this tradition, I should have had one. I bought a dome, cheese and a 27 year old balsamic. The instructions suggest spinning at 45 degrees Fahrenheit. So I let the cheese sit for a bit after taking it out of the fridge. This worked perfectly, producing clove-like, cheesy petals. Soon our guests started making their own curls to take the plunge. As mentioned in the article, dipping those tresses in balsamic is like painting rose petals red or, as they say, gilding a lily.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Band
