There is nothing special about this item other than that it is necessary so that you don't leave a 'dent' in the bar during installation. I bought two so I have a spare. It took a few minutes to figure out how to install it, but it quickly "clicked" into place.

This does not fit my Bostitch sb-1850bn 18 gauge nailer. If so, I couldn't find out because there is no manual with it. I looked at the disassembled nail gun and the part it pointed to was the "protective pad" which did not match what I received. Everything is fine with the spare part, I just ordered the wrong one.

I wouldn't buy this item if the manufacturer didn't say in response to my question that this item would fit the Bostitch 2in1. Doesn't fit because it's smaller than the original. Works for me. I am very happy that there is a replacement after the old block crumbled. Perfect fit for my Bostitch SB-1850BN nailer. It's easy to install once I figure out how to attach it, although at first I thought it was the wrong part because I was trying to attach it incorrectly. The main thing is that it is attached to the movable security sensor, and not to the main leg. Then it goes on easily and stays. (I'm a simple soul.
