Cheap scrap my rating

This Boston "leather" garrison belt looks and feels like vinyl with a cheap metal buckle. I thought I'd upgrade an unnamed cheap garrison belt bought at a uniform store, but this one is better in every way and half the price. This 44 is also almost the same size as the unnamed 42 belt, so they can't even get the right sizes. Avoid this belt, it's complete junk.

Pros
  • Fast delivery and good product
Cons
  • Seams can unravel and fall apart

Brown Boston Leather Garrison Belt - what I really needed

The brown garrison belts are now being discontinued at local uniform stores. Thanks to Boston Leather for that. The belt has extra holes at both ends, which is better than my previous garrison belts from other manufacturers.

Pros
  • Good product but not what I expected. So I sent the belt back
Cons
  • Black color can be transferred to clothing or skin.

Reliable product from a great company

I love Boston Leather products and have never been disappointed. This belt is well made, thick and durable. It looks great and will stand up to anything my shift can throw at it.

Pros
  • I love that the 1.75" wide belt completely fills the belt loops on jeans and pants.
Cons
  • This belt is not made of quality leather as described. Very bad quality

Short belt - my new review

i know my size I ordered my size. The belt that was delivered showed my size BUT it was at least 2 inches too short. I sent it back unused and got a refund quickly.

Pros
  • Good quality
Cons
  • If you have a waist size of 36 you usually order a 38 belt, that's a bit short, for this example you order a 40 belt.

Finally a real belt.

Tried many belts, it's hard to find a good belt today, hope it lasts long, looks like it. Much stronger than what I've bought in the past.

Pros
  • Gorgeous genuine leather belt. It's very hard, but I hope it will soften after wearing it.
Cons
  • I want to change this item to 36

These straps seem to run small.

Be sure to buy a belt that is larger than the size of the pants. I've recently lost some weight and have a new Levis 505 which is a size 36. Based on other reviews I've read about this belt I bought a size 40 which is in the 2nd hole from the start so I have 4 more holes , since I'm losing more weight. As many of you probably know, belt sizes vary a lot between manufacturers so I think it's safe to buy 2 sizes up from your Boston waist size. The belt feels very durable and the width is perfect…

Pros
  • positive experience
Cons
  • Simply an undersized order for the same belt size I always get

Bad belt buckle and cheap leather

The buckle is cheap steel and reflects that when wearing this belt. The leather is also of poor quality. Very disappointed. I don't mind paying more for quality. I believe that you shouldn't buy the belt "on the internet”, but first see and feel it for yourself.

Pros
  • A good product.
Cons
  • Size can be too small or too big

So far as good as I think

The belt looks well made. I use it to hold a box of shotgun ammo. Whether quality and longevity will be maintained cannot yet be said. I've used it twice and everything looks fine. I think the buckle is too close to the loop holding the belt tongue. But that's a small problem. So far, I am very satisfied.

Pros
  • Buy this item 2 sizes larger. I'm 36 and bought 38. need 40
Cons
  • The width of the belt may not be suitable for all trouser or dress styles.

Extremely hard; not width as stated

I refuse to buy those pointless art and glued leather items that will inevitably fall apart and/or look like garbage in a short time. Looking for a genuine leather garrison belt to replace the one I've had for decades, I expected more from this piece from Boston Leather, advertised as genuine full grain English bridal leather. I can only confirm that this is the stiffest leather strap I have ever owned. It's quite difficult to just thread the belt through the buckle, insert the pin, and even…

Pros
  • It works a little. I made the mistake of ordering a size larger than my pants. I had to send it back and order 2 sizes bigger.
Cons
  • I ordered a size 38 belt. It was actually shorter than the size 36 I already have.

The belt is gone

Much thinner than the old model from the same company. I have worn it twice and it has already started to wear and bend badly at the back loop of the belt.

Pros
  • Seems to fit well. perfect colour.
Cons
  • The black color may fade over time.

Received as described

An American made product that is exactly as described, well made and durable and will last for many years to come. Great for side arms and gear or just to wear whatever you want. Just remember to order at least 1-2 sizes larger than what you wear when ordering. If you are a size 36, order a 38 or 40 depending on how much extra belt material you want.

Pros
  • love it
Cons
  • The belt was too small for the size ordered compared to the size chart.

Product is ok/worn and frayed

The product is great but the one I received has been worn so it looks like it has gone through wear and tear or poor storage and handling before I received it. It sucks because I need it for my uniform and it doesn't look very sharp.

Pros
  • No one
Cons
  • I've worn this style of belt since I started working in law enforcement in the 1980's. You can't go wrong with this belt.

Wrong size in my review

Not sure why the 38" belt is the same length as my old 36" belt. I wanted size 38 because my old belt felt too small so I ordered size 38. Well, like I said, it's the same length. Disappointed because I'm stuck with it now. The quality looks good but the size sucks.

Pros
  • he fits
Cons
  • These belts are the exact length, so 42 inches is not long enough for a person wearing 42 inch pants.

Size matters! fits belts

I have over two dozen belts ranging in size from 12 to 12. I wanted to buy a shaft that would be durable and two sizes larger for comfort when I put a holster on carry my motorcycle. I bought size 42 and received it yesterday. I am very very disappointed that 42" will NOT fit. This belt must be a maximum of 40.5! I'm all for convenience and don't want to waste time so I ordered a more expensive belt. However, I not only spent time, but also money! I am so disappointed! I will no longer do…

Pros
  • High marks for fit and durability from testers
Cons
  • Repair

Great sling fits accessories

I have been in the US Coast Guard for over 23 years and was promoted to E-8 or Chief Petty Officer last year. My family surprised me. This includes a 1.75 inch Boston belt. The belt was the size of my waist but due to the way it was worn (over the jacket) the belt was small. I tried to order a belt from a sword company but they didn't sell that size. Luckily I found this belt on Revane through your company and was able to complete my uniform. The belt is of excellent quality and will serve me…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
