oem was starting to sag, I could get a replacement under warranty but the dealers are usually busy so I wanted to do this simple job myself. as the title says perfect for my q50 (red sport) now i hope it lasts a long time.

I have a 2015 Q50 with Seibon carbon fiber hood. Just wanted to let anyone looking for Q50 carbon fiber hood bonnet shocks that these shocks work as that is the ideal pressure for carbon fiber hoods. Installs in less than 5 minutes. Just make sure you move the mounting points from the stock cowl to the carbon cowl when you change the cowl!

This was a great alternative to an OEM part from Infiniti. Installation was easy and it took me less than 2 minutes to swap out the device. I also installed Boxi trunk lifts. Both kits were basic and I didn't feel fit as others have stated in some of the other posted reviews. Would definitely recommend if your Q needs a replacement.

Base 2015 q50Perfect fit. Don't listen to reviews that aren't. You have to flip the original manufacturer's frames and it fits perfectly as the tilted head side is on the opposite side of the original. The struts were the perfect length and you don't have to lift the hood very high. After assembly, the hood rises very sharply with great effort. I've added some EP grease to the racks as I'm not sure how long they've been in stock. Overall 10/10. Use these aftermarket racks upside down!
