Good value for money

I was looking for an everyday crochet hook but when I stumbled upon this one I couldn't resist its value. As described these are high quality aluminum hooks and I have not been able to find better value for money hooks from Revain. This is just a product that is well made and serves its purpose.

Hook Boye in assortment. Gold Standard Hook

I've been crocheting with Boye crochet since I was 12, which is a long time ago. So of course I like to have several hooks of each size on hand. This set refilled my hooked piggy bank. I prefer aluminum hooks. I've used wooden hooks and Luxite hooks and they're fine, but aluminum is the way to go. Acrylic hooks are nice but tend to break in two after a while. I have aluminum hooks from my mother; You will never see a split aluminum hook.

In the 1980's I bought Boye and Susan Bates aluminum hooks of various sizes and I liked to use both brands. My size G got lost, so I decided to replace it with one of these relatively inexpensive 3-Boye hooks. Unfortunately these hooks are not of the same quality as the old ones. The Boyes are now made in China and the workmanship is less than other shows. Yes, you can crochet with it. However, there is definitely a difference in how they move through the yarn.
