Do not buy good for cycling

cross thread nuts when trying to install a new bottom bracket on my bike. Now I've taped this crappy cheap tool to my bike.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • working speed

I was a little skeptical about using this tool but it is very durable and does the job just as well as other tools that cost three times as much. The only downside is that you have to use 2 tools to run it. A 13/16 socket and adjustable wrench is a perfect fit for me.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Null

The screw broke the first time. Wear safety glasses!

Pin broken on first use. A higher quality screw is recommended. You can buy a better screw at the hardware store and reuse the end plates. The best alternative is to pay more and buy a better tool. I don't often install a bottom bracket so I thought this would help. Wrong economy.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Fits

The best beat on the dollar.

I bought a used MTN bike and quickly found that the bottom bracket was defective. I am a toolmaker and generally prefer to buy more expensive instruments. But in the end I decided that I don't have enough space, I won't use it often, and if it doesn't work I can change it. I installed a 30mm Raceface BB92 double row RCA bottom bracket (BB19BB899230DR) one bearing at a time into my aluminum frame very easily. Since contact washers have no centering function, I had to manually re-center the…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Good but not great
