These things are strong

I live in an area that gets strong winds often. I fly light fabric flags on my flagpole, but high winds just eat them up because they're made for a lighter breeze. So when the wind almost becomes a storm, I hang them up. I have about 1/2 dozen and they all still look and work great. Once the only stretch came off, but with the help of duct tape the repair was easy and quick.

Drive away birds!

Keeps birds away from patio furniture. We've tried various methods to deter birds from leaving debris on our patio furniture, but without much success. I'm a bit skeptical about this product but it really works. The main thing is to hang it as close as possible to the place you want to protect. I've been using it for a few months, the furniture is clean. You need a decent breeze for it to work optimally.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Very good windsock, keeps birds out perfectly.

Well made windsock. Ready to hang. The length was too long for me so I cut it off. I hope this keeps the birds from pooping on my porch railing. Update 5/2019 Bought another one because my first one finally lost all threads. I live in a corridor with strong winds. The windsock got stuck on the eyebolt which I found surprising considering how windy it can get in here. It works great for scaring away birds and crows. It really works!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not as good as it used to be - stays together

This isn't the quality it used to be. We have a couple that hung under the eaves for 15 years to keep the birds from flying in through the large windows. They faded, so we replaced them. The new ones were in need of a tire repair, but what's worse, they stick together in 2-3 clumps at the slightest fog or rain and never separate like the old ones when they dry. We even tried washing them with a strong detergent, thinking the problem was some kind of coating, but to no avail. I would like to…

It sparkles like a disco ball and scares away birds - I love it!

I purchased two of these silver windsocks - one for my east facing porch and one for my west facing porch. Every side of my house gets plenty of morning and/or evening sun, and when the sun hits this thing it honestly lights up my porches like a sparkling disco ball. I love it. I sometimes stand by the door for several minutes and just watch her because it's a little mesmerizing. Another HUGE bonus is that it has reduced bird droppings on my deck and pool by about 95%. Bird droppings have been…

They don't scare away birds here

I have three of these windows for the picture windows we recently installed in the back of our house. We never open the windows due to year-round allergies, so I wanted a clear view of the backyard where we installed several bird feeders and squirrels. I never thought that NO screens would lead to the tragedy of many bird strikes most days. I got them hoping the wiggle and sparkle would keep them from flying to our windows, but I sat back and watched them shatter. through the window, an inch…
