Very disappointing good for small vehicles

The best is the moat. Unfortunately, it heats unevenly and renders the waffles tasteless. The underside is brown and the top is spotted and deformed. I tried adjusting the amount of batter to fix the problem, but that didn't help. You would think they would make a decent waffle for what they charge, but think again.

Love it! in Small Appliances

I got this waffle maker for Christmas and I still love it. I have had several waffle irons in the past and have never been satisfied with them. I like the moat around it, quick and easy to clean up. It also has multiple lightness/darkness options. For example, acoustic signals that indicate preheating and readiness. Overall I'm very impressed with it. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Waffle Maker on Waffle Maker

was looking for a waffle maker that makes crispy waffles like my old one that broke. Bought it because of the good reviews online. It's definitely easy to clean, it beeps when it heats up and I love it - no guesswork! The waffles are delicious and crispy, but they're so hard to get out of the waffle iron and I'm a waffle iron veteran. Low rating only because of this factor.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Easy to use, easy to clean, especially with thicker batters like King Arthur Belgian-style yeast waffles or sourdough waffles that don't spreads so fast. The more liquid batter overflows on the sides. To clean, simply run a damp cloth over the still hot slabs and moats. To get golden brown waffles, I turn the knob on. This machine takes about 1/2 cup of waffle batter.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Updates available

Breville quality shines!

After a few weeks we are loving our new Breville waffle maker. Heats up quickly and efficiently; No "spray coating" is required as the coating used by Breville works really well. It does NOT make thicker Belgian-style waffles; but that is not intentional. We love making waffles ahead of time, freezing them, and then toasting them for a quick dinner. Storage is wonderful with the "lock and stand" feature. The only downside, of course, is that it only cooks a four-piece waffle at a time; but…

Traditional waffle maker

Received this waffle maker today and made waffles for dinner. I finally have a wonderful traditional waffle maker! The waffles turned out amazing, just like the ones I grew up with. My old traditional waffle iron died after about 30 years. I didn't think it would be so hard to find a replacement. I bought Chef's Choice Waffle Pro based on a Cooks Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen review but they should have said it makes really thin waffles. If you like very very thin waffles then this is the…

No spray or oil required! Great waffle maker

I don't normally write product reviews but this waffle maker definitely deserves it. Please note this is the fourth brand of waffle maker I have used and I make waffles every day. It took me about a week of trial and error, but I am able to end up making waffles that come off easily, bake evenly, one at a time, with no refrigeration or spray/oil. Protein Waffle Mixes Kodiak Cakes. The ideal way to ensure the waffles don't stick is: 1. Add 60 grams of Kodiak Cakes waffle mix to the bowl2. Add…

I love this waffle maker, but chopsticks are essential.

I have made waffles with this appliance many times. I prefer thin, crispy waffles. This machine produces wafers with 3/16" holes on each side. For crispy waffles I have to use the highest setting and leave the machine on for a minute or two after the beep that they're done. This machine is easy to use .It takes up very little counter space and just needs to be wiped down with paper towels after each use.The first twenty waffles came out of the iron with no problem every time. After that, without

Excellent waffle maker

This is a very good waffle maker but only for short term use (have used it 4 times so maybe 20 full size waffles) Makes waffles with a nice even crust - crispy on the outside (depending on setting) and soft inside. The moat is a useful feature; However, you should still make an effort to minimize the overflow. After using it, it is easy to rate. If it overflows heavily into the ditch, there's no mess, but you'll find the top browns more. Waffles separate easily - the surface is in close…
