Bought two of these for an 11 year old girl who loves them so much. A very cool effect, highly visible on our dark village streets, and she's the envy of the whole neighborhood! Adults and children stop and look at them in amazement. But in 2 months and less than a dozen rides, the first one ripped the wires off the light bar and broke the soldered contact from the circuit board to the battery contact. UPDATE: I agreed to this rubber band when in doubt. If the manufacturer has changed something, then surely for the better, right? No way. I was barely halfway through my block when BOOM, released (broke) the rubber band, flew off the battery box, ripped out the wire and fell to the ground. THIS IS A MAJOR SECURITY HAZARD! If you don't have a spoked bike, it's a little difficult. As you can see my son has magnetic bikes. There is clearly an insufficient number of screeds. Luckily I have a lot of screeds lying around. When I first ordered I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I have the wrong impression that this light string is held in place either just by the zips or somehow by the tension of the spokes.
