Simple hatchery with no mess

Great little hatchery. I've been using it regularly since December, no problems. It's not messy or difficult to use and makes the process easy. The only thing I would say is that if you are feeding multiple tanks each day you will need multiple incubator bowls to sway. I typically feed the brood tank from this shell for 2 days after hatching, then take a 16 hour break while waiting for more eggs to hatch. I hold the light over the hole and the process works fine.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Functionality

Very cool concept! on Food

I have two of these and they are great for hatching brine shrimp to feed my nano fish. The sieve cup in the middle is awesome! This makes it easy to collect only hatched shrimp. I get constant feeding from a hatch for about three days. The first day is usually very dense, and the next two are slightly brighter. I recommend buying a liter jug and a small food scale. I zero the scale with a pitcher and then fill it with 25 grams of salt. It's the perfect combination every time.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Faulty

Absolutely amazing to eat

Great for hatching Artemia. My axolotls gave birth and they fed them perfectly. I have seawater tanks so I use the water straight from them, put a spoonful or two of eggs on the outside and they usually start hatching within 24 hours. It's a lot easier than using an old 2 liter bottle. However, I had to buy another one because the first ladle stopped letting water through the bottom and was completely useless. Other than that, I really like this product.

Large size for good results

Amazing product that delivers if you don't mind the smaller size which excludes a large quantity of brine shrimp. But definitely not a deal breaker as I would prefer small fresh batches to feed them on the fly. However, I add batches to a smaller tank so the baby brine can be scaled up to adult size for the bigger fish on the reef. A good product to start hatching shrimp. You also don't have to cut open a 1-liter soda bottle. Try it. It works out.

  • Delivery was very quick

I was skeptical but it worked

I was a bit skeptical. Everything I've read says that ventilation and warmth are absolutely essential for hatching Artemia. But I gave it a try anyway and I'm so glad I did. It's very easy to use! I dissolved some aquarium salt in the water, filled the incubator and added the caviar. I didn't have to deal with it. Just leave it there and in 36 hours I have freshly hatched Artemia to feed my fish. I will say that I use live brine shrimp as an occasional addition to a single fish diet. I'm not…

Love it, very functional

I've been growing Artemia in a container for a while and you always have to find a way to just get the Artemia without the shell, this will definitely help, I actually have it installed and getting brine in less than 24 hours and usually it takes about 3 days then i put some more eggs in without shelling and get the brine for another 3 days and then i shell them so i shell them all add another time I added warm tap water and a few teaspoons of table salt and that was it. I put the hatchery in…

ideal for beginners - food

Brilliant thing. I've never raised brine shrimp but I accidentally got a guppy fry in a Petsmart bag and it was so tiny it couldn't even eat flake food if I ground it to dust. I was worried it would be a big challenge to grow, but that's what makes it SO EASY. I have San Francisco Bay brand shrimp and they have excellent hatchability rates. They hatch in about 24 hours and go into the net - just pick up the net and pop into the aquarium and you're done. I keep it on my desk next to the tank. As
