My granddaughter loves to craft and she's also a tomboy who loves the outdoors. This is the best of both worlds. She was very excited to receive this as a gift and wanted to get started on it immediately. However, I'm not crazy about the cheap tea light. Neither were her parents. This is such a cute concept, but the materials included are not high quality. You get two plastic sheets that lock together to make the lantern, a round piece of cardboard, tissue paper circles, stickers, glue, sponge brush, and a very basic plastic tea light. I understand now why it is recommended for ages 8 and up. It definitely will be time consuming. Just waiting for the tissue paper glue to dry (multiple layers) will take a while. I’ll put this away until my grand is at least 8!

I think this is a great project that would make a lovely gift. Everything you need, except for the leaves and flowers you will collect to dry, is included in this kit.The directions are very clear and easy to understand. They are in both English and French.I made a short video describing how to make this lantern.
